Amazing Race for Research

Well done to the teams who took part in the "Amazing Race for Research" which took place on Sunday November 2, 2008. They had great fun, a lot of laughs and at the same time raised $800 to help the Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF) in their pursuit to find a cure for childhood cancer.

Participants  in teams of three to five, raced to several checkpoints in predominant areas of Sydney. They were required to solve a number of clues and complete several challenges along the way.

100% of the net funds raised by Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF) are donated to the Oncology Research Unit at the Children's Hospital, at Westmead. OCF have committed to funding a five year $2.5 million gene therapy programme which involves cutting edge research and could be the answer to saving the lives of children with brain tumours who have no other choice of treatment remaining.
