Gear up Girl Canberra April 5th 2009

GEAR UP GIRL CANBERRA Sunday April 5th 2009

Join Bicycle NSW and hundreds of other women for this fantastic women's-only cycling event.

The Gear Up Girl Challenge is not only an opportunity to have a fun girl's day out and make new friends, it is also an opportunity to raise urgently needed funds for the Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF), the Gear Up Girl Charity Partner.

The Gear Up Girl Challenge is a fun participation event, not a race!  There is a choice of two routes making it suitable for women of all ages and abilities:

Weston Loop - approximately 20km

The Western Loop begins in the picturesque Western Park and travels down to Lyons before looping back up past the Royal Australian Mint.  It is suitable for all levels of ability.

Tuggeranong Loop - approximately 60km

Beginning at Weston Park and showcasing some of Canberra's excellent cycleways, this ride rolls through Weston and along the Tuggeranong Lake and down to Point Hut Pond, through Gordon.  Riders then travel along the outskirts of the CBD, past the Royal Australian Mint and back up to Weston Park.  This ride is for more experienced riders who are over the age of 10.

Enter before the early bird booking date of March 6th and you could be joining OCF on our women's-only cycle challenge to Cambodia September 4th to 16th.
