Funded Research Programmes
"The Children's Hospital at Westmead's Oncology Research Unit (ORU) is a leader in the frontline research effort to unravel the mysteries of childhood cancer and to translate advances in the laboratory into new treatment options. The development of a thorough and detailed understanding of the behaviour of cancer through research will allow the ORU to both improve the therapy and outcome for children with cancer.
The Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF), one of the Hospital's major funding partners and a vigorous supporter of our research, shares our vision to cure all children with cancer and to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors.
The Oncology Children's Foundation not only underpin the yearly operation of the ORU but without their support many of our research projects would not exist, so our research program is very much largely dependent on them"
